Ronan Bennett (PUBLIC ENEMIES) is set to adapt Dean King’s true-life bestseller SKELETONS ON THE ZAHARA, reports Deadline.com. The 1815 survival tale follows 12 American sailors after they shipwreck, cross the Sahara desert and then are captured and sold into slavery. London-based Independent will develop and produce the project.
