Goro Miyazaki's TALES FROM EARTHSEA is set to make its English-language debut in the U.K. The English voice cast includes Timothy Dalton (HOT FUZZ) as Sparrowhawk (Ged), Willem Dafoe (PLATOON) as Cob, Matt Levin (STARSHIP TROOPERS) as Arren, Cheech Marin (UP IN SMOKE) as Hare and Mariska Hargitay (TV's LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT) as Tenar.

The Studio Ghibli production is based on the third and fourth books in Ursula K. Le Guin's six-volume series, which was first published in 1968. As crops and livestock die all over Earthsea, top wizard Archmage Ged must discover the meaning of the ominous omen of two dragons devouring each other in the sky, which leads to him facing his arch enemy, Cob, who is out seeking eternal life.

The film will premiere at the Arts Picturehouse on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 4.30 pm. On Thursday, July 12, the film will play at Cineworld at 1.30 pm.

Goro Miyazaki is the son SPIRITED AWAY director Hayao Miyazaki.

Due to SCI FI Channel holding the rights to the novels in the U.S., it is still undetermined when the Miyazaki's feature will be available in any form in the States.
