Jonathan Demme To Adapt Stephen King's JFK Novel

Jonathan Demme (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS) has signed on to adapt Stephen King's forthcoming novel 11/22/63, reports Variety. The plot follows a high school English teacher who travels through a portal in time to 1958 and sets out to stop the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Demme and Ilona Herzberg will also produce.
