BBC Films has tapped Paul King (BUNNY AND THE BULL) to direct its adaptation of Eva Ibbotson’s children’s tome, ISLAND OF THE AUNTS, reports Deadline.com. Enda Walsh is penning the script, which follows three women who snatch unhappy children in order to give them "better" lives on their island.

King is best known for creating the BBC series THE MIGHTY BOOSH. Warner Bros. also hired him to adapt PADDINGTON BEAR for producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER).
