IDT’s New Arc Signs Feature Pact with POW!
IDT Entertainment’s New Arc Films and POW! Ent. have signed acclaimed comic book, film and television writer-creators Marv Wolfman and Scott Lobdell to write the screenplays for two animated features under the six-project New Arc-Pow! Deal. The films will be produced by DPS Film Roman.
Marv Wolfman will script EL LOBO, the story of Antonio “Tony” Valdez, a physically handicapped college student who inherits a billion dollar fortune that turns him into an overnight target for murder. But, to the dismay of his would-be killers, Tony is surprisingly protected by the legendary El Lobo, a seemingly invincible superhero who accomplishes near-miraculous feats aided by the breathtaking maneuvers of his lightning-fast skateboard. Little do his would-be killers suspect that Tony Valdez, their intended victim, is the mighty El Lobo.
Scott Lobdell will pen the screenplay for the New Arc/Pow! animated feature THE CHAMELEON, a female superhero with the chameleon-like ability to impersonate any other person. Maggie Nelson is the daughter of a policeman who wants her to follow in his footsteps. But, although Maggie has the talent for police work, she wants more than anything else to be an actress. Assuming the real-life role of the mysterious Chameleon, Maggie uses her gift for impersonation to fulfill her acting ambition while, at the same time, battling many of mankind’s deadliest foes aided only by her courage and her fantastic chameleon talent.
