THE LOS ANGELES TIMES reports that Ron Howard is eager to direct an adaptation of the Image Comics series, THE STRANGE ADVENTURES OF H.P. LOVECRAFT. Howard told the newspaper that he was attracted to the project by the comic's mixed of biographical elements and fantasy/horror.

The comic created by Mac Carter and Adam Byrne. The story follows a young Lovecraft as a meek writer who gets wrapped up the schemes of ancient evils.
