Hoodwinked Helmer to Direct Fraggle Rock Feature
The Weinstein Co. has plans to bring Jim Henson's puppet series FRAGGLE ROCK to the big screen, reports VARIETY. HOODWINKED! helmer Cory Edwards will direct the live-action musical, as well as pen the script. The Jim Henson Co. are the producers with the Weinsteins distributing.
In the film, series leads Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red will head out into the human world interacting with the alien Earthlings. Originally airing on HBO beginning in 1983, the series has scored big numbers on DVD.
Ahmet Zappa and Brian Inerfeld are the exec producers.
