Stephen Susco (RED, THE GRUDGE) has signed on to write HACK/SLASH, which has already gone through previous drafts from no fewer than four other scribes, SHOCKTILYOUDROP.COM reports. Susco hasn't said whether he'll be starting from scratch or simply revising the script already available.

HACK/SLASH is based on the Devil's Due Publishing comic book series, which chronicles a young woman who travels to small towns hunting slashers.
