Warner Bros. is in talks with director Guy Ritchie and producer Lionel Wigram to take over the big screen adaptation of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., reports Deadline.com. Steven Soderbergh recently left the project following casting issues after George Clooney backed out.

Scott Z. Burns penned the most recent version of the script. Before Soderbergh, the project was in development with WEDDING CRASHERS director David Dobkin and writer Max Borenstein.

The 1960s TV series aired on NBC. Created by James Bond's Ian Fleming, the show followed American and Russian secret agents in the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.
