Tim Burton has filled out the FRANKENWEENIE cast with actors he has worked with before, reports Deadline.com. The cast includes Winona Ryder (EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, BEETLEJUICE), Martin Landau (ED WOOD), Martin Short (MARS ATTACKS!) and Catherine O'Hara (BEETLEJUICE, A NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS). Short and O'Hara will voice five characters each.

Based on Burton's 1984 live-action short, the new stop-motion feature follows a boy who brings his dog back to life after it is hit by a car. John August penned the script.

Walt Disney Pictures has set March 9, 2012 for its release.
