Sci-Fi Wire via MTV News reports that Jon Favreau will not be directing Marvel's THE AVENGERS. The IRON MAN director said he wouldn't be available for the big superhero team-up flick. He will however serve as an exec producer on the film. Favreau marked that whoever sits in the director's chair will have a challenge balancing the "tech-based hero" story of Iron Man and the "supernatural aspects… of Thor."
