Fans get another chance to preview THE IRON GIANT
On Saturday, July 31, director Brad Bird introduced his specially selected
segment of THE IRON GIANT, which was then shown in an exclusive Webcast
sneak preview. Fans, who have been following the film during its production
and have been fueling the overwhelming early buzz, proved eager for the
exclusive look, prompting Warner Bros. to re-broadcast Bird's introduction
and the 10-minute segment on Thursday, August 5 beginning at 5 pm (PST) and
continuing until midnight (PST) at www.theirongiant.com. Warner is using
Microsoft's Media Player software for the broadcast, so you will need this
plug-in before viewing the film. THE IRON GIANT opens in Los Angeles and
New York on Wednesday, August 4, and in theaters nationally on August 6.
Also, fans in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 7 can meet Brad Bird in
person as Bird will be available to sign autographs, and will also do a Q&A
session about the making of THE IRON GIANT at children's bookstore
Storyopolis. The store is located in Beverly Hills, California at 116 N.
Robertson, Plaza A, and the event takes place from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
There will also be Iron Giant-related arts and crafts activities for
children for which the participation fee is $6.00. For more information
telephone Storyopolis at (310) 358-2500.
