Aaron Eckhart, AnnaSophia Robb and Sean Bean have taken the leads in the dark spin on the Peter Pan tale, PAN, reports Screen Daily. Eckhart (THE DARK KNIGHT) plays a revamped Capt. Hook, who is now an ex-detective investigating a child kidnapping case. Robb (SOUL SURFER) takes the Wendy role, an only survivor of the kidnapper who turns to Hook for help. Bean plays Smee, the chief detective and friend of Hook.

Ben Hibon, who directed the animated "Three Brothers" sequence in HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 1, is helming from a script by Ben Magid.

Essential Entertainment is repping sales at Cannes.
