Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the writers and directors of CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, are in negotiations to helm Disney's BOB THE MUSICAL, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story follows an average Joe who after a hit to the head begins hearing the inner tunes of people's hearts. Marc Shaiman (HAIRSPRAY) is composing the songs. Chris Bender, J.C. Spink, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are the producers.

Several other teams have circled the project including writer Mike Bender and director Adam Shankman, and writers Babaloo Mandel and Lowell Ganz and director Mark Waters.

Lord and Miller are also attached to direct 21 JUMP STREET.
