Pajiba.com reports that Peter Berg has stepped down as director of DUNE, and that Paramount is shopping the project to two other directors. Producer Kevin Misher's top choice is Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT), but they are also courting DISTRICT 9 helmer Neill Blomkamp. Both have received Josh Zetumer's script. Paramount wants to keep the film's budget under $175 million.
