Aqua Teen Movie Now Wide Release
Surrounded by controversy over its marketing campaign that caused a bomb scare in Boston, AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE COLON MOVIE FILM FOR THEATRES has been expanded to more theaters and pushed to April. Originally set to hit limited theaters on March 23, now First Look will release the film in nearly 2,000 screens on April 13, 2007. The animated feature will be competing against REAR WINDOW-like thriller DISTURBIA and PERFECT STRANGER, another thriller starring Halle Berry and Bruce Willis. Insiders are saying that the wide release for the quirky film is a way for Cartoon Network and Turner Broadcasting to ride the wave of awareness created by the bad press surrounding the advertising fiasco, which cost them $2 million.
