FilmCore Promotes Burchard

FilmCore has promoted Tiffany Burchard to editor. For the past five years, she has been an assistant to editor Paul Norling and has worked as an editor for the past four years with Green, FilmCore's boutique for emerging editors.

FilmCore president Steve McCoy said, "Promoting Tiffany to editor is a tribute to her talent. She has an inviting and understated manner and a phenomenal depth of artistry when it comes to bringing a unique point of view to a project."

"I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn my craft under Paul Norling, one of the most talented editors in the industry, and for the experience I gained at Green," Burchard said. "I look forward to working on my own, to building my own clientele and to contributing to the further success of FilmCore."

Burchard's most recent editorial credit is a promo for Mitsubishi (Deutsch, Los Angeles) that debuted last month at the New York International Auto Show. The spots for the 2004 Mitsubishi Diamante has a challenge because she was asked to only show glimpses of the vehicle.

"The spot is a teaser. It shows glimpses of the car, but never the whole vehicle," she explained. "The challenge for me, along with a short deadline, was to find interesting ways to reveal aspects of the car and to form them into an exciting montage."

In addition, she has served as editor on projects for Taco Bell (Foote, Cone & Belding, Orange County), Dodge (BBDO, Detroit) and Hibernia (Doner, Detroit). Her credits with Green also include spots for Cisco, Autoweb and Alta Vista.

Burchard was an editorial assistant at Wollin Production Services, Los Angeles, before joining FilmCore in 1998. At FilmCore, she has assisted Norling on commercials for such advertisers as Coke, Gatorade, Lexus, UPS, Honda and MSN.

FilmCore is located at 1222 6th Street, Santa Monica, California 90401. For more information, contact tel: (310) 587-2400 or visit www.filmcore.com.
