Fiends Invade Nicktoons

Toothy fiends, giant cats, exploding pigeons, screaming vegetables, and hungry mailboxes -- your television will never be the same. Independent animator Amy Winfrey's popular web series MAKING FIENDS is now also a full length television series on the Nicktoons network. MAKING FIENDS debuted on Nicktoons in October 2008, and is currently the channel's highest rated original program. Episodes air every Saturday at 12 p.m. ET. A special marathon featuring all the television episodes will be airing on February 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET.

The television series and the original web cartoons are also available online at www.makingfiends.com.

MAKING FIENDS began as an independent Web series created by Winfrey in 2003, following the success of her pioneering web cartoons MUFFINFILMS and BIG BUNNY. Working alone, Winfrey created every aspect of her web shows, from scripts and animation to music and songs.

Nickelodeon expressed interest in MAKING FIENDS in early 2004, and by 2006 production of the MAKING FIENDS TV show was underway at the Nickelodeon studios in Burbank. The TV series remains faithful to the web cartoon, maintaining Winfrey's unique visual style and gently subversive wit. Characters are voiced by the original voices of Winfrey, Peter Merryman, and Aglaia Mortcheva. Winfrey, as creator and co-executive producer, oversees all aspects of the television production. MAKING FIENDS has been featured at the Annecy International Film Festival and Anifest 2008.
