Fest Anča Issues 2015 Call for Entries

International animated film festival based in Žilina, Slovakia runs June 24-28, 2015.

The international animation festival Fest Anča has officially opened its call for entries. Fest Anča is an international animated film festival based in Žilina, Slovakia dedicated to showing contemporary, progressive animated films as well as to commemorate the best of the medium’s history. Accompanying events include workshops, exhibitions and chats with filmmakers and producers. The summertime festival atmosphere is supported by an informal atmosphere, including many guests, special nighttime screenings, workshops, live concerts, a camping city, awesome parties and great beer.

Films made after January 1, 2013 can be considered for the 8th edition of Fest Anča, to be held June 24-28, 2015. The deadline for submission is March 15, 2015. There is no charge for entry, and winners are awarded with a cash prize.

Competition awards for Fest Anča 2015 are:

  • Anča Award (€800 prize)
  • Anča Student Award (€400 prize)
  • Anča Music Video Award (€400 prize)
  • Anča Kids Film Award (€400 prize)
  • Anča Slovak Film Award (€600 prize)
  • D Award (Slovak film distribution award)
