Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes to Premiere on Cartoon Network

The action-packed animated series, FANTASTIC FOUR: WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES, premieres worldwide as a weekly series on the Cartoon Network on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 9:30 pm during the Toonami block.

Based on Marvel's legendary superhero team, FANTASTIC FOUR: WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES follows a successful four-episode teaser that garnered stellar ratings in September 2006. The series debuts just before the ever-popular franchise returns to the big screen with Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Studios' live-action summer blockbuster, FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER, which hits theaters on June 15, 2007.

Co-produced by Moonscoop, M6, Cartoon Network Europe and Marvel Studios, the FANTASTIC FOUR 26 half-hour animated series combines a dynamic mix of 2D and 3D animation. Based upon the classic storylines, this series follows one of the comicbook world's most prominent crimefighting teams -- Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing -- as they battle villains and their ultimate rival, Dr. Doom.

"This is a breakout year for the Fantastic Four franchise, with the June 9 launch of the animated series on Cartoon Network, the live-action feature film sequel, the Hasbro toy line, the 2k videogame, a re-release of the first theatrical film on DVD and the release of the animated series on DVD from Fox Home Ent.," said Eric Rollman, Marvel Studios evp, animation and television. "Cartoon Network is a great home for our show and their commitment to its success will further Marvel's mission to drive consistent, high-profile exposure and excitement for the Fantastic Four franchise.

Craig Kyle, Marvel Studio svp, animation development, added, "The creative team behind this series is outstanding and have produced a beautifully designed, fun and engaging series."
