Xilam's Magic Enchants MIPCOM Jr.
A KIND OF MAGIC (26x30), Xilam's new animated comedy series in which a bunch of maladjusted fairy tale characters find themselves catapulted from their magic kingdom into the real world, was rated the most popular series at MIPCOM Jr., attracting over 280 buyers.
Currently in production at Xilam's Paris-based animation studio, and due to debut
in fall 2008 on France 3, the comedy has already been picked up by a raft of major broadcasters, including Disney Channel France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Asia and Latin America, as well as Mediaset (Italy) and ABC (Australia).
In addition to A KIND OF MAGIC, other MIPCOM highlights from Xilam include SHURIKEN THE MOVIE (75 min.) which has just completed production, OGGY AND THE COCKROACHES (which has just been greenlit by Canal+ for a third season), RA-HAN (26x30) and SHURIKEN SCHOOL (26x30).
Worldwide distribution rights are handled by Xilam, excluding all English-speaking territories, which are handled by Cake Distribution (U.K.).
