VFXWorld Editor To Moderate SIGGRAPH Speed Racer Panel

Bill Desowitz, editor of VFXWorld, will moderate the SPEED RACER production sessions panel at SIGGRAPH 2008 next Thursday from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm in Hall B of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

As part of the newly-expanded Computer Animation Festival spearheaded by Entertainment Director Jill Smolin, the panel will explore how a vintage anime classic was transformed into a wild next-gen ride for the 21st century.

Panel participants will consist of Overall Visual Effects Supervisors John Gaeta and Dan Glass; Mohen Leo and Kim Libreri of Digital Domain; Kevin Mack of Sony Pictures Imageworks; John Knoll of Industrial Light & Magic; and Simon Vanesse of BUF.
