RealD To Discuss Stereoscopic 3-D At SIGGRAPH
RealD 3D will join a panel of stereoscopy pioneers to discuss the theories, principles, tools and techniques that define the 3-D industry at SIGGRAPH next week. Lenny Lipton, CTO of RealD, will talk about 3-D on 3-D displays, covering off topics such as cinema innovations, content creation, depth cues, digital 3-D projection and upcoming 3-D films. The hour and 45 minute session will examine the history of the stereoscopy industry, how to capture footage in 3-D and viewing systems, among other key initiatives in the 3-D industry.

In addition to Lipton’s speaking engagement, RealD 3D technology will be used to accompany all the presentations included in the "Stereoscopic 3D: Research, Applications and Entertainment" track of the event on Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12. These discussions will explore the latest 3D advancements in gaming and science, as well as animated and live cinema. RealD 3D technology will also be used for the screening slated for Monday, August 11 at 5:45 p.m., "A Visual Odyssey," which will showcase a blend of animation, live action and the latest stereoscopic research.
