On Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 7:00 pm at Hollywood's historic Egyptian Theater, the American Cinematheque will present a tribute to Ray Harryhausen. The evening will feature Ray Harryhausen in person for a Q&A, and mark the premiere of THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE, a new short film Harryhausen began in 1952 and recently completed with the help of Los Angeles-based stop-motion studio Screen Novelties, Intl. And if that weren't enough, there will be a rare screening of the short film KING MIDAS and restored prints of GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD and MYSTERIOUS ISLAND.
