Pixar Team Speaks at Annecy
At the 2007 Annecy Animation Festival, speakers from Pixar will reveal some of the magic behind Pixar's feature films, with a focus on rendering techniques. These presentations are open to everyone. These talks are sponsored by RenderMan, Pixar's award-winning rendering software. Additionally, for those who attend these special presentations, Pixar will be giving away a collectable poster of the upcoming Disney/Pixar animated feature film, RATATOUILLE. Seating for the presentations is limited. First come, first seated. Talks are located at the Imperial Palace - 5th floor, Ravel B.

Part 1 - The Pixar Pipeline Revealed
Andrew Gordon, Pixar animator
See how Pixar makes movies all the way from storyboard to the big screen. Andrew Gordon will reveal the pipeline behind Pixar's animation, including behind-the-scenes details of Pixar's next feature film, Ratatouille.
Part 2 - RenderMan in Action
Dylan Sisson, Pixar RenderMan technical artist
Get an overview of Pixar's RenderMan award-winning features. Attendees will also learn how you can enhance their own 3D projects with a live demonstration of Pixar's RenderMan for Maya.
The same session will be repeated from 4:00 - 5:15 pm.

Part 1 - The Pixar Grand Tour
Katharine Sarafian, Pixar producer
Katharine Sarafian will reveal what it's like to be a part of Pixar. From work to play, attendees will see movie theaters, swimming pools, and catch a glimpse of how Pixar has created an environment to inspire creativity and uncompromising excellence.
Sarafian will be followed by Dylan Sisson's session from Wednesday.
The Thursday morning sessions will be repeated at 4:00 - 5:15 pm.

Part 1 - Animating Ratatouille
Patty Kihm & Ross Stevenson, Pixar animators
See a special behind-the scenes presentation of the making of Pixar's next feature film, RATATOUILLE. Pixar animators Patty Kihm and Ross Stevenson will share their stories of the challenges they faced animating Pixar's most ambitious feature to date.
The Animating Ratatouille session will be followed by RenderMan in Action.
The RenderMan in Action session will also be held from 4:00 - 4:45 pm.
