We think you will agree that Bay Area animators rank right up there with the most creative minds in cinema.

Guest curator Karl Cohen is a passionate advocate for animation. He is the president of ASIFA, San Francisco and professor of animation history at San Francisco State University. He is the author of Forbidden Animation: Censored Cartoons and Blacklisted Animators in America, as well as hundreds of articles on animation, and is currently writing a book on animated propaganda.
