Four of INTERspectacular's animated pieces for Comedy Central (ROBOGIRL, ALPHONSE AND ORVILLE, MONSTER MUNCHIES and STUMPY) have been accepted into the Ottawa International Animation Festival. The shorts will screen this week as part of the festival's Short Competition One. Screenings will take place at the Bytowne Cinema on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at 9:00 pm and Sunday, Sept. 25, at 3:00 pm.

Each short film is 10 seconds in length and directed by Luis Blanco and Michael Uman, co-founders and co-creative directors at INTERspectacular in New York. Each film incorporates 2D computer animation, with two of the films (MONSTER MUNCHIES, ROBOGIRL) incorporating Flash. Blanco and Uman were joined by Nathan Jurvecius in the direction and creation of ALPHONSE AND ORVILLE.

The Ottawa International Animation Festival (www.animationfestival.ca) is the largest festival of its kind in North America and one of the most respected animation festivals in the world. Bringing art and industry together, the festival attracts production executives, artists, students and animation fans from across Canada and around the world.
