The Stanford Academy for New Media presents: "Acting for Animators," taught by international theatre professional Ed Hooks. Having coached hundreds of actors, Ed Hooks has, since 1996, taught acting lessons to animators at companies such as Pacific Data Images, Will Vinton Studios, Wild Brain, Mondo Media and more. In Acting for Animators, animation students will explore the connections between thinking and physical action as well as thinking and emotion. They will learn the steps for an effective character analysis and the dynamics of a scene. Registration fees are as follow: one-day session on Saturday, August 4: $300; three-day (4 hours/day) session, August 13-15: $450.
