As part of ASIFA-Hollywood and Glendale Community College's Fourth Annual
Lecture Series on Careers in Animation, Sari Gennis will speak about
Special Effects on Tuesday, October 12 at 7 pm. Sari designed and animated
effects for the first STAR TREK movie and went on to form her own company,
ANIMATRIX, where she has produced and directed commercials, television
graphics, and theme park special effects. Since 1987 Sari has specialized
in effects animation for feature films, including ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN and
SPACE JAM. Currently she is writing, producing and directing her own live
action/animated short film, CANDY STORE BLUES. Admission: $5 advance, $7 at
the door. Tickets and reservations are available through the Glendale
