D360 Announces MIPCOM Slate

Toronto, ONDistribution360 announced a portfolio of properties in both its Kids and Scripted and Factual and Lifestyle divisions that will be showcased at MIPCOM and MIPJunior this week.

Complete with hit titles including all-new episodes of Splatalot, a third installment of the This is franchise, Olive the Ostrich, as well as popular performers such as Cake Walk: Wedding Cake Edition, Puppy SOS and Ghostly Encounters, D360 is committed to providing new and existing buyers with quality entertainment on multiple platforms that viewers want.

Kids and Scripted

Splatalot (52 x 30 minutes)

Target: Kids 8-12 and Families

Sold in over 120 countries worldwide with strong ratings on Nickelodeon in the U.S., Splatalot is a hilarious medieval-themed physical game show featuring an extreme obstacle course with heaps and loads of splats and spills. Each episode features a different group of thrill-seeking teen contestants, dubbed Attackers, competing in three cringe-inducing rounds. The Defenders of Splatalot, an international squad of medieval-themed gladiators, will do their best to protect the castle from the Attackers leaving one to be crowned King or Queen of Splatalot.

Produced by marblemedia, Splatalot is paired with a custom website featuring a suite of games enjoyed by over 15 million players. Available in HD, Season 2 of the series, which recently wrapped production, features bigger splats, a revamped castle and introduces three new Defenders.

With sales of This is Daniel Cook and This is Emily Yeung in over 100 countries to date, D360 will be presenting an all-new third installment, This is Scarlett and This is Isaiah, which is currently in production and is scheduled to launch on Treehouse in Canada next year.

Complete with an extended online experience that includes games available for licensing, both children and parents alike are drawn to the charm of the hosts, as well as the seamlessly integrated educational elements of this property. Produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and marblemedia, each installment of the This is franchise features one of its preschool hosts exploring, having adventures, learning, and sharing newfound knowledge with other kids. In every episode, six minutes is spent with the host learning an activity and one minute is spent watching other kids enjoying the activity.

Olive the Ostrich (52 x 5 minutes or 13 x 30 minutes)

Currently airing in over 200 countries worldwide and hot off the heels of its launch on Sprout in the U.S., this CGI-animated series produced by Blue-Zoo Animation Studio remains a strong performer in the cable market.

Full of imagination and a huge appetite for adventure, Olive is an ostrich who loves to solve problems and help people wherever she can. Olive will try anything once – which sometimes results in her getting into trouble. However, the great thing about this feathered friend is that she always finds an inventive way to get herself out of her debacle. Featuring real pictures drawn and submitted by children, Olive the Ostrich is sure to take kids on a new imaginary adventure in every episode.
