Comic-Con International is America’s biggest comic book and popular culture convention. The 2001 event will include many comic book related panels from publishers such as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse and Image. You can also count on exclusive previews of upcoming movies from some of the major Hollywood studios, including DreamWorks SKG, Warner Brothers and Lucasfilm, with sneak peeks at "The Time Machine," "Lord of the Rings," "Planet of the Apes," "Spider-Man," and the world premiere of Cartoon Network’s new series, "Samurai Jack." Comic-Con will also present panels devoted to "The Simpsons," "Futurama," John K’s new series "The Ripping Friends," Nickelodeon’s two new series, "Fairly Oddparents" and "Invader Zim," and more.
Comicon 2001 will take place at the Convention Center, 111 Harbor Drive, San Diego. Conference hours are: Thursday - Saturday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm; Sunday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
