ASIFA-Hollywood Presents a Zagreb Cartoon Retrospective

Host Mark Kausler will present a retrospective screening of nine Zagreb Cartoon Studio productions from the studio’s first four years, 1956-1960. The films shown will be a mixture of adult and children’s subjects, all made before ERSATZ won the Academy Award in 1962. The program includes: PLAYFUL ROBOT (1956), COWBOY JIMMIE (1957), MAGIC SOUNDS (1957), ENCOUNTER IN A DREAM (1957), SCARECROW (1957), THE GREAT FEAR (1958), PICCOLO (1958), LE PEAU DE CHAGRIN (1960) and THE BOY AND THE BALL (1960).
