AEAF Sydney Program Announced for December
The Australian Effects & Animation Festival (AEAF) will be held Dec. 6-8 as part of the Digital Media Festival leg in Sydney. The program will include sessions on the making of KING KONG, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE, ZATHURA, REVENGE OF THE SITH and STEALTH.
Speakers include Rob Coleman, animation and development director, Lucasfilm Animation (SITH), Rising Sun Pictures’ Will Gammon (digital effects supervisor) and Ian Cope (production supervisor), who will discuss POTTER, and technical director Kamal Mistry, who will provide an overview of how animated features are made at Pixar.
Other programs include Character Rigging, CG Lighting and Particle Animation Masterclasses (from VFX Mentor) and a Stereoscopic 3D demonstration by Australian vfx pro Tim Baier.
