The 7th annual James River Festival of the Moving Image is a celebration of animation and independent film. In addition to the competition, the event also features workshops, seminars and retrospectives. The festival is sponsored by the Richmond Moving Image Co-op, University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Virginia Union University, 1708 Gallery, Virginia Film Office and friends of the festival.
