2013 Savannah Int'l Animation Festival Kicks Off April 13

The 2013 Savannah International Animation Festival kicks off April 13th in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Animation Hall of Fame has announced The 2013 Savannah International Animation Festival, which is open to children and adults of all ages.

SIAF 2013 will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2013 at The Coastal Georgia Center located at 305 Fahm St., Savannah, GA 31401. There will also be a special announcement about the Animation Hall of Fame Complex by three of its Directors.

This, our 4th festival, truly has become an international event.  From this years entries you will see­­ 38 entries from 14 different countries in the following categories:  Stop Motion Animation, Computer Animation, Traditional Animation, Experimental Animation, Student Animated Film, Web Animation, Television Commercial Animation, Gaming, Television Series Animation and Anime. Come see talented young student work and academy award winning artists in the same forum!

Our special guest speaker this year is Animator and Director Jan Carlee whose career has spanned working with notable studios such as Disney, Dreamworks, Don Bluth Studios, and Blue Sky. If you love films such as Tron, Shrek 2, Titan AE, and Thumbelina then you need to come meet Jan.

The Savannah International Animation Festival allows students and the general public of all ages to share in international culture, creativity, and art and ideas; and to meet and talk to internationally renowned animation professionals. This festival exposes new audiences, young and old, to the various forms of animation.  By hosting an international festival we encourage new exploration by worldwide artists and storytellers.
