Evans Launches Pacific Transmedia Corp., UFO

The first project for the company will be the feature adaptation of the British TV series, UFO. VFX supervisor Matthew Gratzner will direct the $130 million production.

Adapted by Ryan Gaudet and Joseph Kanarek, the story follows SHADO — aka Supreme Headquarters Alien Defense Organization — a military arm that investigates alien abductions.

Kessler and Avi Haas are the producers. Evans is exec producing. Production on UFO will start in November.

PTC plans to make two to three films a year. It's initial capital was raised through private investors. The company hopes to launch an IPO later this year. Ellen Wander of Film Bridge Intl. is repping worldwide sales for PTC.

The company also has coming of age drama ANIKA from Eric Watson and 3-D sci-fi thriller NYC2123 in development.
