Ethan Hawke will make a cameo in Columbia's remake of TOTAL RECALL, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He joins Colin Farrell and Bryan Cranston. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are in talks to join as well.
In the new version, Quaid (Farrell) is a factory worker who begins to believe he might be a spy for either Euromerica or New Shanghai after he visits a company that implants false memories in a person's mind. Bryan Cranston will play Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen who is planning a secret invasion of New Shanghai. The story is based on Philip K. Dick's WE CAN REMEMBER IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE.
Len Wiseman is the director. Mark Bomback and James Vanderbilt penned the script. Original Film's Neal Moritz and Toby Jaffe are producing.
