Esurance Launches Star Trek-themed Micro-Site

Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, announced the recent launch of its newest micro-site related to Esurance's partnership with Paramount Pictures' May 8 theatrical release of the new film STAR TREK from director J.J. Abrams. Visitors to http://www.esurance.com/StarTrek can view exclusive content about the upcoming STAR TREK movie, gain access to unique "out of this world" downloads, enter one of the galaxy's most unique contests for a chance to win a trip to the movie's premiere, and more.

Fans of this epic franchise and newcomers alike will get to see exclusive content about the new STAR TREK film, with Abrams, the exec producers, writers, and cast members talking about their experiences making the movie. Visitors to the site will also have access to special STAR TREK-themed downloads, and later, a new online game featuring Esurance's own special-agent icon, Erin Esurance, on her mission through the ice planet Delta Vega.

Along with user-generated video partner Mixercast, Esurance will feature the Biggest Trekkie contest at http://www.esurance.com/StarTrek. The Biggest Trekkie contest is aimed at STAR TREK fans and video enthusiasts, inviting them to submit a 60-second video explaining why they are the biggest STAR TREK fan. The person who enters the winning submission will win a trip for two to the STAR TREK premiere. Trekkies can submit their videos for the Biggest Trekkie contest until Noon Pacific Time on March 5, 2009.
