Erin Esurance Debuts in 3D for Star Trek-Themed Spot

W!LDBRAIN Animation Studios has teamed with their client Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, to give Erin Esurance a new look. Erin Esurance will appear as a 3D model, exclusively for a STAR TREK movie-themed Esurance spot that tells audiences to log on to www.esurance.com/StarTrek to get a first look at exclusive content about the upcoming Paramount Pictures release prior to its May 8 opening.

The J.J. Abrams directed film stars Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, and Eric Bana. Viewers will be able to experience the spot in CGI 3D; no special glasses are needed. This first-of-its kind spot for Esurance will mark the debut of the iconic special-agent and her CGI 3D look.

The :15 online spot debuted on February 12, 2009. The :30 television spot will begin airing on Monday, March 30. A number of television networks will air the spot, including Comedy Central, Discovery, ESPN, MTV, Sci-Fi, Spike and VH-1. The CGI 3D spots were created using Maya 3D software, mental ray for rendering, and Shake and After Effects for compositing and vfx.

W!LDBRAIN and Esurance have collaborated on the auto insurance company's popular "Erin Esurance" advertisements since May 2004. Together, they have produced approximately 40 commercials and promotional elements featuring the special agent over the past four years.
