eOne Strikes New Broadcast Deals

Entertainment One Family continues to bolster the international presence of its children’s properties by inking a series of new broadcast sales in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

London, UK -- Entertainment One Family(eOne Family) continues to bolster the international presence of its children’s properties by inking a series of new broadcast sales in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

In Australia eOne’s long term broadcast partner ABC has signed a deal renewal for animated series The Secret World of Benjamin Bear and has also picked up series two of Rob the Robot in addition to five and six of Peppa Pig. Since launching on ABC in 2004, Peppa Pig has become a huge hit with Australian audiences and is now one of the channel’s flagship children’s TV shows.

Meanwhile, a new agreement has been sealed with TVNZ in New Zealand which will air Lost and Found on TV2 in addition to Peppa Pig which will debut on its Kidzone channel. Further strengthening eOne’s broadcast output in New Zealand, Mediaworks has also signed on to broadcast Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom and Humf on their Four channel in the territory

Finally, ETV in South Africa have acquired the broadcast rights to series one through six of hit pre-school show Peppa Pig and began airing last month.
