eOne Signs Deal with Paula Hart

“Sabrina, the Teenage Witch” Executive Producer signs on for exclusive television deal with indie studio.

Independent studio Entertainment One (eOne) has inked an exclusive first look television production deal with top producer Paula Hart and her company Hartbreak Films.

Under the agreement, Hart will work closely with Ira Pincus (Executive Producer, eOne Television) and Olivier Dumont (Managing Director, eOne Family) to develop and produce various television projects including series and TV movies for family and animation programming. For projects developed and produced under the pact, eOne will serve as the worldwide distributor.

Paula Hart is an award-winning Producer and President of Hartbreak Films, who executive produced more than 160 episodes of the hit television series Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Hart served as Executive Producer of Sabrina the Animated Series and capitalized on the show’s huge fan-base to create a merchandise program that became extremely successful; spanning a wide range of products that included video games, apparel and ice cream. Scholastic published more than 200 titles of the book series, making it the largest licensed publishing range based on a television series. Hart’s other credits include the films My Fake Fiancé, Sabrina Down Under, Sabrina Goes to Rome, Silencing Mary, Up, Up and Away!, Child Star: The Life of Shirley Temple Black, Scream Team, Two Came Back and Nine Dead. Hart is currently producing the ABC Family hit series Melissa and Joey and the new Nickelodeon series, Grounded.

 eOne Television has a robust presence in production and distribution of scripted television programming in a wide-range of genres including, Rookie Blue on ABC and Shaw, Call Me Fitz on DIRECTV and HBO Canada, preschool-phenomenon Peppa Pig on Nick Jr., The Walking Dead on AMC, Hell on Wheels on AMC, Saving Hope on CTV and the upcoming drama series starring Thandie Newton, Rogue on DIRECTV. Through strong relationships with broadcasters and content providers, eOne Television International has successfully sold eOne’s original and third-party productions to over 500 broadcasters in 150 countries, including the major US networks and international pay TV channels.
