eOne Family Finds a New Home for 'Peppa Pig'

eOne Family announces that it has secured a Canadian broadcaster, Corus Entertainment, for its hit pre-school TV show “Peppa Pig.”

announces that it has secured a Canadian broadcaster for its hit pre-school TV show Peppa Pig. Corus Entertainment’s 24-hour preschool network, Treehouse has picked up the award-winning series created by Astley Baker Davies and will begin airing episodes in March 2013.

Corus Entertainment has acquired Peppa Pig Seasons 1 to 6 for Treehouse, which is the #1 preschool channel in Canada.

This new sale adds to the growing list of international distribution deals secured recently by eOne Family for Peppa Pig, which includes Yo Yo in Taiwan, TVB in Hong Kong, Okto in Singapore, Cineplex in Thailand and Disney Jr. in Spain and Italy.

With Corus on board for broadcast, eOne has also appointed licensing agent Studio Licensing in a strategic move to develop a consumer products programme for Peppa in the territory. Studio has already closed a number of significant categories including toys, accessories, outwear and nightwear, footwear, games and puzzles. Product will launch end 2013.
