SEE SPOT RUN slipped to fourth, grossing out audiences to the tune of $5.01 million. The gaseous giggler has amassed $24.81 million thus far. In sixth, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON secured another $4.04 million. The kung-fu romance, with primary visual effects by Blue Sky Studios, CFC/MVFX and Manex Visual Effects, has floated $100.3 million. Dropping from fourth to eighth, HANNIBAL sliced up an additional $3.57 million. The SILENCE OF THE LAMBS sequel, with primary visual effects by Mill Film, has gorged itself on $157.1 million. Falling a spot to place ninth, TRAFFIC snatched $3.41 million. The cocaine caper, with primary visual effects by Cinesite, scored $102.5 million. Disney's RECESS: SCHOOL'S OUT dropped out of the top ten to finish in 12th, grossing $1.65 million. The summer saving spectacle has drummed up $33.31 million to date. Sinking from 12th to wash up in 14th place, CAST AWAY fished in an additional $1.23 million.
