Hollywood, CA -- Post production and visual effects company Encore has hired Andy Gizzarelli as Vice President, Head of Production for its Los Angeles office. Gizzarelli will oversee Encore Hollywood’s team of post production supervisors, in addition to producing shows in-house -- starting with the third season of Netflix’s “House of Cards” in 4K.

“Andy’s unwavering work ethic and commitment to clients make him a tremendous asset to Encore and our customers. As a longtime industry veteran, he has the expertise to aptly handle both routine and unexpected demands, maintaining everyone’s peace of mind and facilitating fantastic results along the way,” said Encore Executive Vice President Bill Romeo.

A meticulous planner, Gizzarelli will be key to managing Encore Hollywood’s growing client roster and keeping projects on track. Working in television post production for nearly three decades, Gizzarelli comes to Encore from Fotokem facility Keep Me Posted, where he worked on “Law & Order SVU,” “Law & Order Criminal Intent,” “Breaking Bad,” “The Middle,” “Gossip Girl,” “Shameless,” and “House of Lies,” among others. He’s also served as Director of Operations for Matchframe, Hollywood Digital and Pacific Ocean Post.

“Encore is a huge player in the television post market, the shows they handle are some of the best ones running. They’re at the forefront of the transition to 4K workflows, and with ties into facilities all over the world provide flexibility and options to service client needs whatever or wherever they may be. I’m excited to join a company of such a distinguished caliber,” Gizzarelli noted.

Encore is a Deluxe Entertainment Services company with locations in Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Toronto and London. The company also offers near-set services anywhere in the world via mobilabs, a proprietary compact system for on-site color management and dailies.
