EM.Ent. GmbH and French TV station TF1 have struck a far-reaching co-operation within the video-on-demand sector, encompassing the regions France, Monaco, Andorra and the French overseas territories.
TF1 has secured rights to many well-known childrens and youth programs from the EM.Ent. rights library. Amongst these in the one and a half year agreement are exploitation rights to MAYA THE BEE, HEIDI, TABALUGA (seasons 1-3 and the Christmas movie), FLIPPER & LOPAKA (seasons 1-3), NILS HOLGERSSON and LAPITCH, the Little Shoemaker, as well as animated series and feature films from PIPPI LONGSTOCKING and MOMO.
Successful with some of these formats in free-TV, TF1 also has the rights to offer content on streaming and downloads from website, www.tf1vision.fr, to then viewed on TV, computer or mobile devices.
The agreement with TF1 clearly demonstrates the great appeal of childrens and youth programs from EM.Ent. for exploitation within the video-on-demand sector, says Patrick md of EM.Ent. With this co-operation, we have not only succeeded in intensifying the long-standing partnership with this broadcaster, but have also pushed forward our development of this highly influential area of business.
