November 14-16, 2000 the 7th annual London Effects & Animation Festival (LEAF) will once again showcase some of the best achievements of the past year in computer-generated animation and special effects. The festival will offer numerous workshops and hands-on sessions. Features include: The Recruitment Village, where some of the world's top animation and post houses such as The Framehouse and Digital Domain will be offering visitors the chance to submit CV's and showreels; The Digital Training Centre, a unique area where training centers, colleges and universities will be offering training sessions in graphics and other creative technologies; The Digital Video Pavilion, which will present the numerous digital edition tools now available across both NT and O/S platforms; The Streaming Media Pavilion, which will look at the different technologies used to stream video and audio over the Web; and more. The 3 day cutting-edge festival program boasts a high profile line up of international speakers featuring their work on: "The Perfect Storm," "Hollow Man," "Chicken Run," "Dinosaur," "Gladiator" and "For the Birds."
