The Illinois Institute Of Art Offers Game Art & Design And Digital Media Degrees

In keeping with the ever-growing popularity of video games, and the increasing technology behind them, the Illinois Institute of Art -- Chicago recently announced it is offering a new bachelor’s degree program in Game Art & Design for students who want to prepare for entry-level positions in the game development field. Students will learn character animation techniques, complex modeling, computer mapping, game level design and how to script within a game. The school is also offering a new bachelor’s degree program in Digital Media Production, with an emphasis on training students to meet the current digital video production needs of corporate, television, e-business and other media distribution outlets. The program is designed so students can create compelling projects to be delivered via CD, DVD, videotape, broadband Internet and other emerging media.
