Create Ultra-Realistic Lens Flare Effects inside Adobe After Effects

In this Boris TV episode, Kevin P. McAuliffe works with a clip of the sun's rays peeking through the trees of a forest, and he would like to enhance the sun's light with a lens flare effect. The sun is moving behind the trees and the lens flare would need to appear and disappear as the sun is being blocked by the foliage in front it. Normally, this effect would have to be keyframed manually, and it would take quite a while. But Kevin turns to the power of BCC 8 AE's new Lens Flare 3D filter and a little "out of box thinking" to quickly achieve this effect.
