Apply Now for Game Developers Conference Student Scholarships
Students who are interested in pursuing a career within the video game industry may now apply for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2006 Student Scholarships.
The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) will present recipients with full access to all sessions, roundtables and keynotes at GDC, which takes place March 20-24, 2006, in San Jose, California.
Students will be given an opportunity to take part in discussions, network with professionals, and witness the future course of the industry firsthand.
“It has been the IGDA's tradition to award those students who best demonstrate their potential for growth and an ability to bring new ideas to the table,” Jason Della Rocca, exec director of the IGDA, said. “Every year, we continue to meet students who are passionate about entering the field, ready to help drive things to the next level.”
Students can now apply online at www.igda.org/scholarships. The deadline to enter is Feb. 3, 2006. Recipients will be announced by mid-February. Applicants are required to be full-time university students (or in an equivalent educational program) and an IGDA Student Member in good standing.
