EDGAR & ELLEN is set to premiere Sunday, Oct. 7th at 8:00 pm (ET) in two back-to-back episodes on Nicktoons Network (nicktoonsnetwork.com). The half-hour Halloween special, "Trick or Twins," will debut on Nickelodeon in October and air on Nicktoons Network Sunday, Oct. 28th at 8:30 pm (ET) preceded by an all new episode, "To the Moon/A Midsummer's Nightmare," at 8:00 pm (ET). The series will regularly air on Sundays at 8:00 pm (ET) on Nicktoons Network.
Based on the popular book series from Simon & Schuster that has sold more than 450 thousand copies worldwide, EDGAR & ELLEN follows the clever twins in footie pajamas as they wreak havoc on the innocent citizens of Nod's Limbs. Armed with an endless supply of pranks and their hairy, one-eyed companion named Pet, the twins push the envelope of mischievous comedy and experiment with their unique brand of troublemaking on the town darling, Stephanie Knightleigh, and the rest of Nod's Limbs' inhabitants. From their strange mansion on the edge of town, Edgar and Ellen plot elaborate schemes using chaos as their guide and mischief as their inspiration, even though their plans often backfire making them their own victims.
Each episode of the series features a two-minute segment inspired by a fan. Viewers are invited to log on to www.edgarandellen.com where they have the opportunity to submit storylines before the show is produced. Fans can then tune-in to see if Edgar or Ellen will perform the prank he or she suggested. The fourth wall comes tumbling down and Edgar and Ellen break through the television screen barrier to acknowledge the fan by name. All kid-inspired content is denoted by a brain graphic on the screen.
